The plate fits in perfectly with Cathy’s boxing nickname: ‘The Bitch’. “Everyone around here knows me – and now when they see my plate, they know it is me driving past – it is excellent for self-promotion”.
Cathy only started boxing two years ago, after enjoying a successful eight-year career in Kick Boxing. In the short time Cathy has been involved in classic boxing, she has already reached the world number one ranking in female flyweight boxing as well as becoming WBF European Flyweight Champion.
When asked how she deals with all the controversy surrounding women ‘fighting’, she said: “I just ignore all of that and get on with it.” She considers herself a pioneer of women’s boxing, “There are only five of us in the country – it’s got to start somewhere.”
Cathy was pleased when she found her favourite mark on the Registration Transfers website (www.regtransfers.co.uk) and said she would recommend its search facilities to anyone, “It was an excellent way of finding the plate that I was looking for”, said Cathy, “I think it’s a knock out site!”
