We can’t always be out cruising the countryside in our cars - it’s just a simple fact of life. Wonderful then, that we have video games that allow us to race, perform stunts and otherwise tear up the roads in cars that we would never otherwise be able to drive. We’ve picked five of our favourites - we’d also like to hear some of yours.

If you want to see some classic cars up close, you only have a few options. There’s car shows, but these are only temporary and, well, can cost quite a bit. The weather can also end up getting in the way. We’re much more fond of a good car museum that showcases the very best that a car manufacturer has created over the decades. Here’s several of our favourites.

The Rolls-Royce mascot

We’re all familiar with the sleek lines and classic styling of Rolls-Royce cars. One of the most unmistakable design elements of the brand is the small statuette of a woman, clad in diaphanous silks and arms outstretched behind her, that graces the bonnet of each Rolls-Royce. This is the ‘Spirit of Ecstasy’, first introduced in 1911.

Since the early eighties, cars have incorporated computers to regulate and control aspects on their various functions. With the birth of the ‘connected’ era, and all its possibilities, cars now have to do more in order to win over consumers.
