A note from the team . . .

Welcome to the first issue of 2012. This, our 29th issue, marks our 30th anniversary as a company and thus is rather special to us. Some of our more morose team members thought it a shame that the first issue of our 30th anniversary year didn’t work out neatly to be the actual 30th issue of the magazine.

The rest of us have pointed out that by having the two landmarks consecutively rather than simultaneously we get to have two celebrations!

Anyway, we mark our 30th year in business with a retrospective article by Regtransfers MD Tony Brown. Take a look and see how Regtransfers started, and how we grew into the UK’s leading independent number plate specialist.

In this special issue we are delighted to bring you our interview feature with the fantastic Russell Watson. As well as being a very fine singer, Russell is a real gentleman and we are grateful to him for his time and willingness to chat. We are also grateful for the interest and input we have received from the loyal fans on Russell’s internet forum.

Elsewhere we are pleased to include a colourful article about Gina Campbell QSO, daughter of land and water speed record holder Donald Campbell OBE. Gina tells us all about the Bluebird project which honours the achievements and sacrifices made by her father and grandfather, Sir Malcolm Campbell.
