Can I Sell My Registration Mark?

If your vehicle is MOT'd and taxed you will be able to sell the registration mark.

If the registration mark is on a valid certificate (Retention Document or Certificate of Entitlement) you will be able to sell the registration mark.

If at the point of sale and transfer the donor vehicle is taxed but not MOT'd you will be able to sell the registration mark (the expired MOT will be required). If at the point of sale and transfer the donor vehicle was taxed in the proceeding 6 months you will be able to sell the registration mark (the expired MOT certificate will be required).

You will not be able to sell a registration mark if it is on a vehicle that does not require an MOT i.e. tractor, steam roller, milk float etc.
