We are proud to announce the latest edition of our terrific, FREE magazine Regtransfers.co.uk: The World of Personal Number Plates. More number plate madness in Dubai

Regular readers will remember that we wrote recently about a gentleman who paid £3.5 million for a United Arab Emirates personal registration which consisted solely of the number "5". The purchaser, Mr Talal Al Khoury, acquired the unique registration at a charity auction in Dubai earlier this year.

A second auction was held on the 16th June and Mr Al Khoury struck again, this time winning the registration number "7" with his bid of £1.5 million. As we noted on our blog at the time, this man must surely qualify as one of the world's most outstanding personal number plates enthusiasts. Although he plays down the importance of the numbers, claiming that they hold no real significance for him, Mr Al Khoury has spent a spectacular £5 million on his growing collection... of two registrations!
