Another of the issuing authority's regular number plate auctions was held from 4th - 6th December. Once again, some good prices paid for the best plates, showing that the personal registrations market remains healthy. Amongst the top achievers this time were:

Lot 27: AHM 5D, which sold for £16,500
Lot 1271: SOP 81E, which sold for £15,600
Lot 14: 67 AC, which sold for £14,200
Lot 1268: SOF 111E, which sold for £14,200
Lot 739: 1 KGW, which sold for £13,800

The Unstoppable Amir Khan

Bolton boxing star Amir Khan staged yet another display of strength and confidence when he beat Luton's Graham Earl on 8th December. Khan took just 72 seconds of the first round to stop his opponent, in a successful defence of his Commonwealth lightweight title.
