When Pat Smith purchased her Aston Martin DB5, over 25 years ago, it had a private plate which was taken off. Pat liked the idea of her own personal registration, so she decided to try and find one.
She soon bought PS 2890 for £450 from Regtransfers after seeing an ad in Exchange and Mart. Since then, Pat has transferred the number to each of her cars in turn each time she got a new vehicle. Pat was so impressed with her Regtransfers experience that she has remained a loyal customer ever since, buying and selling several registrations.
One of her astute acquisitions was O 6, which she saw in a newspaper and bought. About five or six years later Pat sold that plate through Regtransfers and doubled her money.
Pat and her husband Roger tell us that if they won the lottery, they would buy RS 1 for Roger, and Pat would buy back O 6.

Pat and Roger’s current stable includes a Rolls-Royce bearing the number RS 370, a Mercedes SLS 350 bearing Pat’s PS 2890 plate, and a more modest Vauxhall Corsa which carries the number RS04 PJS.
The couple were both teachers before moving into the entertainment industry, providing bouncy castles, marquees, ball ponds etc for events of all kinds. They worked hard for 10 years, sometimes working from 7am until 11 at night.
They were very successful and even provided the BBC's The Generation Game with bouncy castles for a show during which athletes Colin Jackson and Tessa Sanderson had to roll up a bouncy castle. A lot trickier than one might imagine!
