Another Plate for Stoke Fan

We reported earlier how an ardent Stoke City football supporter had purchased his ideal S7OKE plate. It seems, however, that one just wasn't enough and he's now gone one better.

Tom Talbot, of Talbot Alsager Waste, in the Stoke-on-Trent 'Potteries' town of Tunstall, now has the registration GO57OKE.

Mr Talbot bought the plate for 2000 from 37-year-old Catherine Handley, who got in contact through the local newspaper report of the earlier sale.

"It seems there is a lot of interest in number plates," says Catherine. "I thought it was a good time to sell with Stoke being in the Premiership."
