A Chippy of the Old Block

Mark Robert Dopson from Godstone, Surrey had been interested in getting his own private number plate since he was a child. As soon as he could afford it he bought one with his initials - MRD 85, but it was when he saw CIII PPY advertised with Regtransfers that he really got excited. "He just had to have this number," said his wife, "He is a carpenter by trade, so it is the perfect plate for him.

It cost a lot of money, but he says it is a good investment for our son's future. Several different people have approached us in the street and offered us more than he paid for it. People are always pointing at it when we stop at traffic lights."

Indeed, Mark's 10-year-old son Jordan has caught the number plate bug - he can't wait to get a plate of his own!
