My friend Tom brought a private number plate from regtransfers in August 2007 (TOM ####) (which was his name and D.O.B, but cost over £2500), and this made me look around for my perfect plate, at low prices. I was first looking at things to do with my car, like "pug", "306", "sport", and things to make it look fast "V6", but these were too expensive for my budget, which was rock bottom cheap as chips. I also came across "pug 106" as a plate for over £2000, but I don't have a 106, I have a 306. Then, I started looking at names and words like "Jamma, James, Jambo, Jimbo, Jay and Mayhew" and came across a large number of plates beginning with M....ending in YHW (M###YHW). And this is where I found "M44 YHW" which I feel is the second most like MAYHEW plate around, "M4 YHW" being most like MAYHEW. Not only was it idea, it was cheap, and cost me less than £300, which included VAT, DOT fee, and everything! So, I fell in love with it, and aimed to get it around christmas. But couldn't afford it untill then. So I found it on another website that offered 0% finance. I applied, payed the deposit of about £30, and found out how much more I would be paying. They charged £50 just for the accrylic plates! I phoned them to ask if the plates had to be included, but didn't think the customer service was on my side, and felt they were after every penny I had (which I don't have).

So I phoned regtransfers who were superb, and they stood by they're slogan that if I could find the price cheaper elsewhere, they can match it if it had the same services included. The only thing regtransfers couldn't offer was finance, so I went to my parents, who knew how much it meant to me, and payed for half of it for my 19th birthday (1st December), and christmas, leaving me to pay the other £150. which was fantastic, I brought it right away, and with excellant contact through out and easy online tracking, I had the plates on my car in under 3 weeks!!
