TV and Radio

The UK's largest private number plates dealer, Registration Transfers, has launched it's latest advertising drive, this time on television and radio.
"This is a new area of advertising for us," said Len Stout, Marketing Manager at RegTransfers, "we already advertise extensively in the National newspapers, car magazines and on the web, but we thought that we would try out a different medium. We like to think of different ways of staying the UK's largest dealer."
The television advert is currently running on Granada and goes out during 'Men and Motors', three days a week. Brocket Hall in Hertfordshire provided an excellent backdrop for the yellow Alpha Spider which was used in the filming.
The ad begins with a standard number plate shown on the car, but as the car sweeps round the drive in front of Brocket Hall, it is suddenly sporting the much more appropriate CLA 5S number plate. Without any fuss, it shows the kind of transformation that can be made to a car with a quality personalised number plate. "We pride ourselves on selling the best quality number plates on the market today", Len maintains.
The radio advertising is being run on Chiltern radio (96.9). The domain name Numberplates.com, which is owned by RegTransfers, was used instead of regtransfers.co.uk because it is easier to understand over the air waves. The quirky 20 second commercial, which goes out six times a day, explains to listeners that there is a number plate for everyone from as little as £300.
"I like the idea of tv and radio advertising because of the involuntary listening time that it provides - people don't switch off during the adverts, and even if they are not consciously watching or listening, they are still absorbing the information.
We want to target those people who may never have thought about or dreamed of owning private number plates before. Our excellent sales staff can help them find a suitable mark - we firmly believe that there is something for everyone."
