The FREE magazine published by Regtransfers.co.uk is subtitled "The World of Personal Number Plates", and no wonder: there is indeed a world surrounding the subject, a world of information, anecdotes and enthusiasm. Such is the interest these days in personalised registrations that various groups and clubs have arisen where people share information and compare their cherished marks. One of these is the Registration Numbers Club which was established in 1977.

Several number plate companies have flirted with producing a publication on the subject, but only Regtransfers.co.uk has had the in-house skills and resources to maintain regular and frequent production of a high quality magazine. The other which have so far seen the light of day have, in fact, been little more than personalised registrations newsletters containing little news except details of the latest plates for sale.
