Something to Do with Allsorts

Here is today's employee profile. If I may say so, I consider it to be the most alarming so far.

Len Stout

Len has been at Regtransfers longer than he cares to remember. He has certainly been here longer than any of his colleagues care to remember.

As yet another occupant of the hugely over-populated marketing department, Len was instrumental in building Regtransfers' high profile in the national press, and in establishing many of our online marketing campaigns. Since then, however, he has rather 'lost the plot', and is now responsible for sourcing life-sized cardboard cut-outs of the managing director, and for driving around in a yellow Smart Car bearing the registration PEN 15, while dressed as Bertie Bassett.

Like his colleagues, Len regularly purchases musical instruments including guitars, harmonicas and even a fairly rare vintage melodica. Unlike his colleagues he has shown great determination in resolutely failing to learn how to play a single one of them.

PEN 15Len is engaged in fervent competition with Barry, who we featured a couple of days ago, for the crown of Most Famous Superstar Employee. While Barry tours far and wide performing rock and roll stadium concerts in small pubs, Len has a regular spot on BBC Three Counties Radio, where he talks about personalised number plates. Despite initial reservations on the part of the BBC it turns out that Len's contribution has made a notable difference to the show, as an audience of two hundred thousand has now dropped to seven listeners - one of whom is profoundly deaf.

By the way, please forgive the peculiar title of this entry. To be honest I couldn't think of anything appropriate, and upon consulting with our in-house creative geniuses... well, that was their helpful suggestion. Thanks, guys.
